O’Neill Wetsuit Repair Warranty Coverage

O'Neill Europe Wetsuits come with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering all stitching, materials and workmanship. Please notify us as soon as you notice the first signs of a defect. The sooner we know about the defect, the better we can prevent it from worsening.

Prior to repairing a wetsuit, we need to assess it to determine whether the defect is covered by our warranty. To have your wetsuit assessed, please return it to the original store of purchase with your receipt. For warranty questions regarding wetsuits bought outside the EU, please contact our customer service.  

If you purchased your wetsuit at https://eu.oneill.com/, please contact us via the contact form including: 

  • Brief description of the fault
  • Copy of the invoice.
  • Photos clearly showcasing the damage: please include close-ups and full-length images.
  • Additionally, provide a photo of the inside label, located close to the zipper, if you haven’t cut it out.

What types of damages fall under the O’Neill Europe wetsuit warranty?

O’Neill Europe provides a two-year warranty covering the following factory defaults: stitching, materials and workmanship. Please note that an original purchase receipt is required for all warranty claims.

What wetsuit repairs are not covered by the O’Neill Europe warranty? 

● ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Warranty request without the original receipt. 

● ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Wear and tear from normal use. 

● ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Fading due to exposure to sunlight. 

● ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Damage resulting from exposure to harsh detergents, chemicals or fabric softeners. 

● ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎User errors and suits that are clearly worn out; some symptoms include, but are not limited to: 

  • Cracked, dry neoprene. 
  • The product has been misused or improperly cared for. 
  • Generally, any excessive repairs considering the condition and age of the suit. 

● ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Repairs or alterations performed by anyone other than O’Neill or an O’Neill-authorised wetsuit repair partner. 

● ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Home repairs, including but not limited to: 

  • Re-gluing seams using Aqua Seal or a similar product. 
  • Patching seams using duct tape, rubber patches or a similar product. 
  • Re-sewn seams with a sewing machine or by hand using a needle and thread.

● ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Fit issues: Any fit issues should be resolved before the wetsuit is used.

My product has a defect covered by the O’Neill Europe warranty, what's next?  

If the product is found to be defective under normal use and proper care, O'Neill will repair, replace, or refund the product at our sole discretion. The decision to repair, replace, or refund a product is made by the O'Neill Warranty Department after receiving the defective product.

How do I ship my O’Neill wetsuit? 

Incorrect handling can result in damage to wetsuits. O'Neill will not accept wetsuits that have been improperly handled during shipping. To safely ship your wetsuit, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Lay the wetsuit on the ground with the front side facing down. 
  2. Fold the arms down towards the waist and behind the body. 
  3. Fold the legs pointing up towards the neck and behind the body. To prevent creases, avoid folding the wetsuit through the middle of the chest panel, back panel, or smoothie panel. 
  4. Use sturdy packaging and ensure proper sealing.
