Ben Larg
Born into a surfer’s family, Ben Larg, a native of the Isle of Tiree, started surfing at the age of two. After claiming Scotland’s U18 Surfing Champion title at just 12, Ben set his sights on big waves. At 14, he became the youngest surfer ever to ride a 30ft monster wave at Mullaghmore in Ireland. Just two years later, he was tackling 50ft-plus waves at Nazaré, once again among the youngest ever to do so. His documentary, Ride The Wave, follows his rise as a big wave surfer over the past few years. Dubbed the Flying Scotsman, Ben, now 20, has a promising big-wave future ahead.
