Astrid Cheylus
Astrid Cheylus, a French freerider from La Clusaz, got into the sport by following in her older brother's footsteps. With several serious wins under her belt—including a first-place finish in the FWT Junior Tour in 2021 and a vice world champion title in her rookie season, 2024—she is recognised for her technical precision, unique execution, and inventive skiing.
Leaving a mark on the world stage, Astrid claimed second place in the 2025 Nendaz Backcountry Invitational, landing a history-making first-ever double backflip in a women's freeride competition.
Outside of skiing, Astrid enjoys kitesurfing—she took her kite game a step further by competing in the GKA Kite World Tour in 2023.
